Between 1944 and 1950, Eddy Arnold established an entirely new style of country music that bridged the traditional sounds he'd heard growing up with his love of pop. From the outset, he was astonishingly successful, racking up more than 35 hits during his first six years as a recording artist. Frequently re-recorded, many of those early hits are not only available here in their original versions for the first time on CD, but many are making their first appearance on any long-playing record.
