Of all the lower end 1/2-3/4 size guitars under $150, this is your best choice. I was lucky enough to find several guitars sold here on Amazon within various music stores before I bought one. This one is beautifully finished with no shortcuts or poor workmanship anywhere on it. It has an adjustable truss rod as well, and came with D'Addario strings. My daughter has received several compliments from store staff when we took it in to get restrung. The inlays are really nice as is the gloss finish all around. Its size is actually a bit between a 1/2 and 3/4 guitar and is often mistaken for the larger size. It sounds good and is a great size for my (smaller) 11 year old to learn on.It arrives in a very plain brown box, but is well packaged even if the outer box looks beat up. The box isn't meant for retail display. The company definitely spent the money on the instrument rather than the marketing. The only drawback is that it only came with a single strap button on the bottom of the guitar. You'll need to have another one put on before you can attach a strap.Typically it's priced around $110 in shops, though I've seen Amazon drop the price into the $50-60 range at one point. Anything under 3 digits and it's a no-brainer.This will give a bit of cushion to buy the other essentials like a tuner, picks, stand/bag, and to possibly have it professionally adjusted or restrung.
