I heard Leland Sklar talk about how he has used these strings for decades and I thought I'd give them a try on my Music Man Stingray Bass. I'm extremely pleased with the tone and feel. They are tonally on the bright side and have a bit of "zing" to them. A lot of roundwound strings feel like you're running your fingers over a cheese grater, but the Super Steels are quite smooth to the touch. I'm also pleased with how well they stay in tune. Additionally, they're not too pricey, at least for my budget. All in all, I'm very pleased with these strings. Highly recommended!
